Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), formerly University of Indore, was established in 1964 and is one of the premier state universities in Madhya Pradesh. Named after the legendary Holkar queen Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar, the university has been a beacon of higher education in central India.
